Solar Panels


Solar panels work by converting energy from sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic (PV) cells made of semiconductor materials like silicon. When sunlight hits the cells, it excites electrons in the semiconductor material, creating an electric current. The PV cells are grouped into panels connected to an inverter that converts the direct current (DC) generated by the panels into a safer alternating current (AC) used by most home appliances. The efficiency of solar panels depends on factors like the angle of sunlight, panel quality, and weather conditions. The electricity can be used immediately, or exported back into the grid for compensation.
